Len Handeland is now pleased to call two salons home: Frange Blue Salon in San Francisco just off Union Square, and Cheveux Salon in Sonoma across from the plaza, having owned Utopia Salon for 9 of his almost 17 years in the hair industry. His Vidal Sassoon based training comes from an extensive 2+ year apprenticeship including both Di Pietro Todd Salon and the former DeKroon Salon & Spa in San Francisco, where he was able to learn his cutting and coloring skills. Len's advanced multi-year training with both Sassoon and Toni & Guy enabled him to master the marriage between precision cutting and artistic expression. In addition, Len was the color educator at his former salon, specializing in color and highlighting, and was proud to be voted Best of CitySearch for color and highlights in 2006. Jessica Horsey is in her sixth year as a stylist with the salon. Wella is her color line of choice with an expansion into Redken. Continuing her education through many conferences and classes, she has made it a priority to stay abreast of changes within the field of beauty. Jessica is fully committed to her career, the community and especially her clients, acknowledging their busy lives and obligations by being flexible and communicative. She has an artistic flare, specializing in Weddings, making everyone feel at home in her chair.

Noel McQueeny has been a cut and colorist for five years. Using the Redken color line she can give you a natural color look, a pretty platinum blonde or a vibrant new color. Noel enjoys keeping up with the industry by taking classes and learning new techniques. Her cuts can be fun and wispy to blunt and dramatic; whatever you prefer. Her goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident in her chair, and leave the salon feeling great.

Madelene Olsson, with 12 years experience, has built a loyal following in Sonoma because of her expertise in Color and she personalizes looks by giving a thorough consultation where she listens and provides realistic results. Before coming to Sonoma 7 years ago, were she has also owned her own salon, she worked in San Francisco as a Master Colorist for Wella. She is also Vidal Sassoon trained and continues to keep up with her education by attending workshops with Redken and Wella. She continually produces perfection in motion for each person who comes to see her. Ask around town and you will hear only of her excellence and professionalism.

Alisha Risedorf, our newest addition to the salon, has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2009 and brings an upbeat vibe to the salon. Alisha uses the Redken color line, as well as Pravana for those daring individuals who aren't afraid to go with a vibrant color such as purple or green. Her signature style shows best when she is doing special event hair and makeup, men's haircuts, and razor cuts—but her talent doesn't end there. Alisha also offers women's haircuts, face waxing, and scalp treatments. Alisha's focus is to expand her clientele by keeping herself up-to-date with the latest trends through continued education.
